A fun, once off, two hour wheel throwing class where participants can get a taste of what it’s like to be a potter!

Most participants make between 2-4 pieces per class, at the end of which 1 piece is included in the behind the scenes work for firing to become food safe and functional. Extras can be purchased on the day at your choosing.

Introduction to wheel throwing

4-Week Term Course

A two-hour, weekly wheel throwing class for potters who would like to develop their skills and understanding of the pottery process. The term course takes you through the main stages of pottery: throwing, trimming, and glazing.

We invite you to join us for this enjoyably challenging experience. At the end of which, you will leave with a new set of skills, your own works of pottery, and an appreciation for the ceramic arts.

7-Week Term Course

The term course takes you through the main stages of pottery: throwing, trimming, and glazing; and also explores a “theme”.

All skill levels are welcomed to join us for this enjoyably challenging experience. At the end of which, you will leave with a new set of skills, your own works of pottery, and an appreciation for the ceramic arts.

Return students: Building on fundamentals with larger volumes of clay, creating simple and complex lidded forms, and creating shapely enclosed forms/lidded pots.
